Commerce Bank and the University Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship invited Steve Powell, President of Delta Systems, to speak at the first session in the 2009?2010 Small Business Leadership Series.
Powell lead a discussion of how to decrease expenses, increase communication, foster community and keep employees happy through traditional, non?traditional and technological methods. He highlighted many practices that Delta uses internally as well as best practices for several different technologies. Powell also discussed new trends and offerings such as Google Voice, Cloud Hosting, Edge Computing, and Amazon’s S3 service. Several questions from the crowd were also answered.
The crowd of almost 50 attendees was comprised of seasoned, local company owners and leaders from around Columbia, MO.
The event was also sponsored by the SBA and the Missouri Small Business and Technology Development Center.
