Job Point  held their 2014 Annual Awards Banquet on Feb 26, 2014 and honored several individuals. Presented by KOMU, Job Point’s Annual Banquet is widely considered one of the area’s most anticipated awards events.  The evening of celebration began with a social hour and dinner followed by a brief program.  The highlight was a video featuring persons served who have overcome significant barriers to employment. Patrons were invited to meet these extraordinary individuals during a dessert reception.

Delta’s President, Steve Powell, was named the 2013 Volunteer of the Year. Powell then commented, “All I did was play Donald Trump as the Celebrity Apprentice. I’m very pleased we raised over $30,000 for such a great organization. I just fired 23 people while making fun of the contestants on an open mic for 3 hours.  Heck, it looks like I’m even wearing the same jacket and shirt as on the Facebook Event Page. But seriously, I’m proud that Job Point thinks of me in such high regard.  Delta is proud to continue to help Job Point as we have for the past 12 years and will continue to do so.  The real people we should be celebrating are the Award of Excellence winners, so I thank you as I take my plaque and slip back into the background.”
