Technical Project Manager / Systems Analyst

Position Overview:

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and smooth operation of website and software development projects. They are also responsible for systems of analysis in creating statements of work for our clients.  You will manage projects from start to finish, which includes scoping, project planning, internal resource management, deadline and budget management, daily project monitoring, and task delegation. You will collaborate with the executive, sales, account services, and execution teams to ensure all projects are properly scoped during the proposal process, all needed information and assets are collected and properly saved before and during the project, the internal execution team has a clear understanding of the project details, deadline, and budget, and communicate and develop solutions for any projects risks. You will champion our internal project management software to seamlessly manage the daily execution of tasks, clearly display the team’s workflow, report and utilize real-time capacity, monitor productivity, and effectively collaborate with the account services team, allowing them to provide excellent client communication about the status of every project.  You will also visually reverse engineer a system or site with the goal of creating a statement of work that defines a data dictionary, user access levels, enumerate a complete list of functionality, and established workflows.

Job Location

Fully Remote. Our team has had remote workers since 2012 and has been fully remote since 2019. COVID did not change our work environment but it did make our style/environment more acceptable to clients.

We have employees in MO, AZ, CO, MT, NC, MI, ME, OR, IA, etc. with clients scattered across the US.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Champion Project Management software and make it a seamless experience for those assigned tasks.  Provide transparency in PM Software for all clients
  • Actively engaging with clients day-to-day facilitating meetings, customer support, status updates, and general inquiries
  • Clearly track each and every hour of Project Management time and spend most of your day engaging with clients and client work
  • Properly create and assign tasks to the team
  • Communicate regularly with clients on email and video calls
  • Attend regular project management and engineering meetings to update the team on the status of your projects and where you need to allocate resources to deliver client success
  • Maintaining and upgrading existing systems as required
  • Creating system guidelines and manuals for the organization
  • Creating Agendas for client meetings and follow up emails afterward

  • Previous experience in a Project Management role in the tech industry. At least 5 years is a plus.
  • Experience with WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, and/or Teamwork.com a plus
  • Ability to work in accelerated timelines as needed
  • Extensive knowledge of computer systems and programming
  • Proficient with or able to quickly learn systems and software used by the organization
  • Knowledge of data modeling and data visualization tools
  • Ability to reverse engineer and analyze systems so as to create statements of work to upgrade/update said systems

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service and general client care
  • Addressing client concerns should they arise
  • Engaging with clients through Email and Video conferencing such as Zoom/Google Meet
  • Looping in management to for additional customer assistance as needed
  • Demoing websites/applications for clients.
  • Scoping
  • Supports, troubleshoots, and upgrades applicable system infrastructures.
  • Understanding all project goals and deliverables
  • Communicating the resources/budget needed to complete a project
  • Utilize project management software to accurately project lead-times, track time, and assign tasks
  • Collaborate with sales team and management to develop proposals
  • Clearly communicate and document the assets/resources needed for a project
  • On-boarding of client projects
  • Developing project planning document and presenting project to execution team
  • Attending kick-off meetings
  • Gather or clearly communicate any needed assets or information
  • Day-to-Day Project Management
  • Daily management of timelines and deliverables for all projects
  • Communicate with account services on project updates, questions and risks
  • Handle client requests and appropriately delegate tasks
  • Execution of design and development tasks
  • Manage tasks, execution and efficiency to achieve department goals
  • Review work and provide strategic feedback to ensure alignment with goals
  • End to end management of timelines and deliverables for all projects
  • Diligently manage execution team’s project capacity and work flow
  • Develop project management software usage standards and project templates
  • Ensure compliance of project management software usage standard
  • Show ability and desire to manage, lead, and empower team members
  • Show ability to align team members to accomplish predetermined goals

Starting Pay

  • $65,000 – $85,000 (based on experience and skill set)
